Does the xantia have passive rear wheel steering? thot the forester should handle better wif it's 4WD, rite?

passive rear wheel steering up to 3 degrees I believe.

perhaps the forester is on shoddy tyres or CG is too high, Im not

too sure but I was slightly dissapointed after in won the shootout between the

ST 220 wagon, Rover ZTT wagob, zafira Gsi etc in recent CAR magazine.

 

Maybe they get better tyres in UK. taking it at Jervois at relatively slow speeds, tyre slip and shriek was LOUD.

Hope Im not offending any XT owners.. anyway as the lady saif, this is a SUV and not meant to take corners.

From the dyno charts, Surbo does appear to work for manual cars. I figure it depends on the air filter configuration and design of the overall intake. Looks like same principle as Cyclone, so guess improvement would be more generally marginal than substantial. But hey... it costs $80 vs even Cyclone $150/$160 !!

For surbo, you should check out its website. I've been to the site many moons ago. If i remember correct, it mentions that you have to rev your engine really high to get the surbo to kick in.

Ok, i could agree with you if the proper setup is done properly in conjunction with

Air Filter and the overall design of the intake,,,

 

And i would place my money too on Surbo over Cyclone...Reason; Cheaper 'Investment'..

Which Xantia model do u own? i used to hv a '99 2.0 16v and found the high end performance lacking. So i swopped to a more powerful car..194 bhp..V6 24V..excellent handling and roadholding..marvellous ride..electric seats..full factory leather..all for 70k.....a 2000 Xantia 3.0 Exclusive...:)
