Hi guys,

read thru a few aircon threads and think i still need a new post to see if any bros here got advice.

my presea aircon when switched on has totally no response, not even blowing hotair so what could be the potential damage to get it fixed? as in what could have cause the fan blower not to work becos i guess if it works there should not be any problem with cold air i guess. any advice?

Might b a simple matter of changing a blown fuse. But then again what caused the fuse to blow?

Have it checked at a reliable AC shop. Markcool is good if u don't mind going to Woodlands area. [thumbsup]

Thanks! I'm now at East side so was looking at Ubi area which is abt 10min drive up. Anyway I dunno whether this has any effect but i notice when i off my aircon morning time when driving cos sometimes its quite cool and i a bit thin-skin. After a while when the car interior gets warm, the air looks like white mist when blown out, does this indicate anything? This is b4 the aircon kong out

Sometimes a white mist indicates a leak in your cooling coil. Have it checked by a good AC repair shop.

Don't go to the nearest cos they may not b good. Have it done at a reliable shop otherwise u gonna get [knife] .

Thks apollo and 69 for the advices, my aircon revived this morning again. Any ideas what should I get the ws to chk in this case?

I was thinking of dropping by autosaver if afternoon free? Any knows whether they do aircon or tyres as well? Might as well do my servicing too!

u just hv to do full servicing becos the radiator has frost. no other choice confirm is impurities inside the gas system. strip down evaporator for chemical wash. replace expansion valve + aircon filter. recharge gas and lubricant. check for further leaks. b prepared to pay into $200 or more.

maybe not the same problem but jus sharing my recent air con problem

it happen intermittently ....one day while driving for a long distance ... suddenly my air con go haywire...got air blowing but not cold.. after switching here n there... suddenly ok... then after a while.. problem recurred... next day morning, before i send it for repair.. it become cold again...become ok after servicing at the 1st workshop

but problem resurfaced after 2days.. went to another workshop and found out that its not the air con that having problem but the fuse holder for the air con fuse is not wired properly (by previous owner i think)

tapped out the fuse to a external holder and problem solved since....

anyway hope u solve yr air con problem soon.. cos can understand the suffering of driving without a working air con =)

Thanks for your sharing although I was quite confuse why the previous owner should be playing w the fuse holder wiring. Some modding or repair?

Glad u got it solve anyway.

Sent car for servicing today and mech said some motor connection up the lorry soon. Manage to get it working by hitting the place below glove compartment. think i'll make do w that for the time being since today i changed tyres so other stuff can wait for the time being.

Thanks all for sharing

Maybe you can try the same as what I did but not sure if your blower motor same location as mine. Mine is at the passenger seat under the glove compartment. Switch on blower and hit the place and see whether any respond, hope it helps! Haha... [lipsrsealed]

For my AC I only go to Markcool in Woodlands. Since I found them, I have never needed another AC repair shop. [thumbsup]

So u recommending them as they are reliable??... how their charges?
