My ebay.com.sg id is tied to my paypal account.

When I try to list on ebay.com.sg , there's no way I can choose paypal as payment option.

When I try to list on ebay.com there is paypal as payment option. But I won't be able to use the shipping options as it deems item location is in US even though I've selected location as Singapore.

ebay's live help is useless, their consultant only tried to snook me and asked me to re-register again at main site which was of no use.

I need help on how to sell internationally. Which site should I list on and how do I go about the respective problems?

firstly , I must let you know that the ebay.sg is only meant for local transaction. If you are thinking of listing this item on ebay.sg and hope to save on the listing fee then i guess that you might be a lot disappoint cause the international viewer will not be able to view your item unless they click on the "seller's other items" link.

If you want to sell international , you can log on to the international ebay site. In this way , you should be able to sell the item with paypal as a payment option . listing fee is applied if u list it on other ebay site except ebay.sg.

I tried on main site but item is at US even when I selected Singapore.

When I choose shipment options for worldwide, I'll need to input US ZIP code. How do I go about doing this?

Are you registered with ebay spore or ebay.com ? What is your rating, you must have a min rating before you can start selling.

Interantional buyers are unable to see listings & stores in ebay spore as this is a non paying site.

ebay.com.sg / .my do not charge a fee for you to sell, so your listing is only viewable in this 2 respective site so you cannot choose paypal as payment.

If you want to sell at eg, ebay USA, UK, Australia, etc... you have to list the item in their respective website.

If you list your item in USA, you should be able to add the paypal payment option but you'll need to do a verification of your paypal email address in ebay under 'My Account'>'My PayPal Account Information', remember, they must be of the same email address.

For the both Domestic & International shipping, you just select 'Flat same cost to all buyers' then under Services 'Standard Flat Rate Shipping Service' for Domestic. For international, select Ship to 'Worldwide' & Services ' Standard Int'l Flat Rate Shipping' and also 'Will ship worldwide'.

As for insurance, you can opt out unless the cost of your product is more than S$200.

As for item location, you should be able to set it to 'Singapore' when you are listing the item itself.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Yahoo.sg got a lot of scam going on, not many people will buy from you if you have no positive feedback from buyers that also have many positive feedback sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

OBTW, Yahoo US auction closed liao unsure.gifunsure.gifunsure.gif

In SG context, your statement is true but in Worldwide context, eBay is much better and it protects both the seller and buyer wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif

In Yahoo SG, even though you list an item for auction with minimum starting bid price, people to message you and offer you a much lower price, it's like Wet Market/Pasar Malam shakehead.gifshakehead.gifshakehead.gif

Thanks this worked! [cool]

But it only solves the shipping to US, it's standard rate for Singpost anyway.

But I want to ship to worldwide as well and Singpost will charge different rates so I can't use Standard Int'l Flat Rate Shipping...

the domestic shipping is actually referring to USA itself, you just have to put one standard price for both USA and the rest of the world, as for SG buyers, they will normally email you on the shipping price for SG.

postage for USA and the rest of the world, minus Singapore, is almost the same, just quote the most ex price for shipping available and you'll be safe wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif
