Dudemobile Neutral Newbie September 21, 2007 Share September 21, 2007 Dude, the A5 is using a different chassis and all round disk brakes as well. It's not exactly a facelift, but a new model. Elsewhere the FSI engine is sold, but not here. Outside they almost look like twins. A4 is based on the golf 4 A5 is based on the golf 5 The A4 is very solidly built, 4 yrs no dramas. Learning about the A5 now, i have a feeling they might have overcooked the A5, with so many electronics.
Colin03 4th Gear September 21, 2007 Share September 21, 2007 Partially due to the price difference and the same output torque. The current A5 has only 1 unit left as of last week info and the new shipment has no info yet. As for the A4 , i will check on the colours availability too. Can you please comment which colour is the BEST on the A4 , thanks a million. rdgs
Simpleman 1st Gear September 21, 2007 Share September 21, 2007 Dun forget A4 conforms only to Euro2 while A5 meets Euro4 standards, though there's ONLY 1 hp that separates the two very different engines. The 6sp tiptronic is much more frugal with fuel. I guess the price diff is a bit stiff to go for A5, relative to A4. Colour-wise, stone (titan?) grey looks great. Try_conti 2nd Gear September 21, 2007 Share September 21, 2007 Color is dependant on individual taste mah .... there's no best color. What's nice to me may be yucky to you .... But get one that's not so noticeable when dirty .... So, what color is available in CnC now ?

Colin03 4th Gear September 23, 2007 Share September 23, 2007 I am also thinking of this model too but the price is a great difference. Heard that Skoda's spare parts are also difficult to get and expensive , can you please advise on this . None of my friends is driving this branding. Thank you for advise again. rdgs
Moeykf Neutral Newbie September 23, 2007 Author Share September 23, 2007 parts and servicing are not expensive. After my warranty expires, i get my own parts from an importer at Jalan Peminpin and went back to my workshop to do the servicing and changing of parts............overall, the prices are not much diff from jap cars. afterall, the superb is the best buy if the price range is at 85k-90K. ↡ Advertisement
