Simongoh Neutral Newbie August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 Yes, and best part is, MapKing is license to use Singapore Land Authority (SLA) Maps which has the most details information locally. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin.../296926/1/.html For Malaysia, MapKing work with MalSing Maps community which also has the most updated and complete maps of Malaysia. You will not go wrong with devices running on MapKing software as they updates their maps frequently.

Root Neutral Newbie August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 What about oversea map support when one goes traveling?
Simongoh Neutral Newbie August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 Yah, agree, there are many difference offer and freebies. But in the end it is not only the price or gifts; the Map Data play the most important part. Which Map provider does the company use, how often do they updates their Maps, do they work with online community for Maps updates etc. No point paying for a GPS device that does not give you updated maps frequently. Simongoh Neutral Newbie August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 For Frequent Traveler, better to get a PPC version with build in GPS where you can load any PPC GPS software and Maps in there.

Beei 1st Gear September 2, 2007 Share September 2, 2007 Got this today, on the last day of comex, after more than 2 and 1/2 hours of jam.. for less than 3 km..found parking lot within 5 mins.. faster than expected.. See a few brands, in the end choose this one because all other brand saleboys and girls bo hiew me.. and also KOD(King of Detailing) said as long as GPS can do its function, good enough.. make sense to me also.. So i tricked myself into buying, not because salegirl was cute or what.. and also because salegirl can demo the functions very well.. quite a user friendly set, for a IT idiot like me.. mounted it on my car, switch on, never rcv any signal. Restarted, link up within 10 sec.. found the voice a bit irritating.. keep reminding me turn left turn right dunno how many time maybe GPS supposed to work this way.. not sure because never used GPS before.. mountain turtle.. screen was a bit small, but bright enough.. yeah, also warn me when i travel 80kmh on a 70kmh road.. fulfill most basic function of GPS.. for a $499, should be considered ok ba.. Nothing too special.. can select 3 language: ang moh, 华语 and boleh.. but interface is ang moh only.. ↡ Advertisement
