Matt Paint

Err...no. Intending to have whole car matt, but bonnet and boot in black while body another brighter colour.

Yeah, matt paint doesn't disguise the imperfections in the body and the paintwork. The lacquer used to gloss the paint does. So it is harder to maintain and just won't look as sleek and clean.

After hearing all the comments, I may reconsider the body paint. Got about a wk more for me to decide before ride goes for spraying.

I have done matt black on my bonnet and boot, 2008 black Camry, looks fierce [laugh].

I did it as I work in Tuas and cover my car. After two months I had all kinds of scratches by the cover. So decided to matt all upper surfaces. I may do the roof too but seems not necesarry at this stage.

Very happy so far. No swirls, no need to worry about fine scratches anymore and the water just beads right off. Saves wax and washing time too. Now I dont worry about acid rain, bird poo, or driving behind lorries knowing that my fragile gloss paint is now almost impervious to all elements.

I did mine at D Factory in Eunos, Oracle Vinyl film. Superb Guys.

Go with bonnet and boot wrap. Save your original paint, as original factory paint protects the car best. As for the matt vinyl, once it gets worn, after maybe 5 years, simply remove and change new one. [:)]

Thanks for the info bro. Eunos is good, that's where I stay. Can I ask if they cover the sticker over the edge of bonnet or do they stop just before the edge? How long do they take to do the bonnet? No bubbles and stuff like that? Can PM me how much? Thanks once again.

Cheers to you! [:)]

Of course they cover over the edges, for all intents and purposes, it looks like matt paint and not sticker. Bubbles are bound to have but very minimal and easily removed with a needle. [:)]
