yea. but v tec engine are meant to rev very high right. so what is considered high for vtec.

sohc vtec redline at 7200rpm while dohc vtec at least 7800rpm to as high as 9000rpm for S2000.

can go even higher if modded like 10k-11k rpm.

btw if rev too high will it wear faster. normal cars will. but since v-tec are meant to be rev high and power reach the potential only at high rpm. will it harm?

the problem is without cams upgrade and tuning,rev so high also no use.

power might drop in the high end if the peak power is at 7000rpm..

and a stiffer set of valve springs are needed too.

 

yes that right, cos the stock b20 rod bolts n rods are weak, so usually its the 1st thing to go in order to build a high rev b20
