Reckless Cab drivers - espcially Sonata.....

Apparently Sonata cab drivers these days are becoming hell divers in my opinion.

Encountered at least 5 Sonata drivers this weeks who drive like there is no tomorrow.

The worse part is they are actually carrying passengers.

Kao!!!

 

Dont they care for passengers' safety?

My goodness.....

 

Sigh.....if only i have a speed detector and a camera, then i sure see their faces to STOMP for review.

 

Si mi passenger safety? Money comes first.

 

These taxi drivers are really terrible, they should really go back to driving school once or twice a year to be assessed. Cannot drive taxi until obtain a certain standard. Drive "auto" taxi and want to be F1 wannabes? PUI!!

 

Dangerous idiots! That's why I like to horn them [laugh] when they swerve into my path. I'm getting a STEBEL horn installed soon. Yippee! [lipsrsealed]

The deterrent should perhaps be increased to at least $5,000 or even $10,000. I agree with u that a $2,000 penalty does not seem to encourage the cab drivers to put safety above everything else.

 

hmm 2k is not alot? and they earn 3k? Every single one of them? I think this is generalisation and not everyone got the kang tao like bookings or what to earn that much. If driving a cab can earn that, Why would ppl go get a degree?

 

Taxis are not the only ones that does reckless, if u wanna go on .. it nv ends.. lorrys, private cars and so on. Why do we always say Taxi.. cos there are some many of em on the road and no matter what car model, company... its a taxi and we recognise it. For pte cars, kenna one time reckless driving complain now forget tomorrow. Why is this so?

 

Back to the point, if u wan, complain the cabbie, dun pull everyone down the drain with 5k or 10k. They have their family to support and u wouldnt want to break the bowls. Take the insurance premium moving upwards for example, due to ppl getting into accident, we all get affected, I'm sure u dun like that either. Put urself in the shoes of others b4 making any claims that just doesnt sound quite reasonable.

OMG...this is funny man. You mean when they are not driving taxi and resting at home, they log on to forum to chat rather than getting the ample rest that they need? [laugh]

Both private car and taxi are equal road user. My post is not purposely targeted to taxi driver. It's just a coincident. The bxxxxxd is a taxi driver on sonata

 

In fact, I'm looking for a chance to thank a sonata taxi driver who sent my daughter to school almost FOC. As she took a wrong direction bus and drop at do-know-where. The normal fare should be easily above $15. But she only had $3.

i drive taxi for almost 4 mth now... and i can say i earn more then 5k every mth...

 

why would ppl go get a degree??? for you info... taxi is hard work... i use my time & miss my sleep to change into $$$

 

but if i got a degree and i can sit in office just talk talk and sign sign... then get my pay!

and i do not need to use my handphone to login here when i am in changi airport q-up...

cool. maybe u can intro some kang tao to others but i'm sure not everyone gets 5k

 

for ur info I never said taxi wasnt hard work if u read my post properly.

 

And for ur info, only MIW sit in office sign sign or at least those who owns a company. A degree doesnt guarantee u anything.

Seen before of cos. but in terms of aggressiveness and recklessness in driving style, I encounter more cases with Sonata than Mercs and Skoda...

Not much Skodas on the roads onwadays.

 

Mercs still aplenty but still not as much as Sonata. Pickup is fast and can chiat most cars..... But it still boils down to the person driving it.
