Drive and smoke at the same time

I notice nowadays a lot of driver smoke and drive at the same time on expressway and normal roads. They even throw the cigarette butt after smoking. My car front screen was hit by a thrown away butt last week while driving on PIE. Govt should ban/fine driver from smoking and driving at the same time as it will cause distraction over the road condition just like handphone.

I feel govt should ban those ppl who smoke and walk at the same time! ppl behind will have no choice but to breathe in... wat the. Why cant just stand somewhere to finish the cigarette..

ya agree. Im a smoker too, but i seldom smoke + drive before. Its simply too dangerous and inconsiderate to do so.

Depending on who you are smoking...

e.g. if u are smoking a QQ ... you would be probably doing 80kmph so on an expressway it's ok..

 

But if u successfully smoked an EVO then you are possibly in excess of 200kmph so that's not legal...

Smoking involves automatic cognitive processsing, while using mobilephones involves conscious cognitive processing which requires attention (and a lot of it in this case). It's very different. In fact taking a drink is more distracting than smoking while driving.

 

The littering is another issue. Bad social skills and our govt doesnt do anything to correct it. Just place a fine and hope people comply. No education on why littering is bad.

the last time I had a&w, I was still a kid/toddler.

but honestly though, i think the only things that were nice are the wafer ice cream and curly fries. not forgetting the coke. (the chicken was definitely bad).

Except that people will still find a reason to complain . Besides you do have a choice. Why don't you stop for a moment to enjoy the scenery (and hopefully hot babes or guys or both depending on your preference) around you instead of continuing behind the smoker?

What you have seen is not the worst. I seen a fricking ah beng with his left hand holding his handphone talking and his right hand holding a cigarette smoking. Now, can anyone beat that?? How to drive when both his hands are doing other things beside driving?
