Kelpie 2nd Gear November 18, 2007 Share November 18, 2007 1. I've stayed in Impiana twice. I would say good price for a relatively new hotel that is near KLCC. Parking is no issue but beware of the narrow corners. Alternatively go for more expensive VIP parking right infront of the hotels, quite a number of SG cars do that. 2. The hotel uses timber flooring so you may hear very faint foot steps. The pool is pretty small for a hotel of this size. Not important, if you're not using it. These are the 2 shortcomings of the hotel, otherwise value for money for a spacious delxue room. Location is good and nearby hotels are more expensive. Voodooman Supersonic November 18, 2007 Share November 18, 2007 (edited) Don't worry too much, I drove to KL years ago with a few maps and a lot of research. The first time is always the most difficult, after that, it is a breeze. You will need a good navigator as traffic can be heavy and road signs confusing at times. If possible, reach there during off-peak hours. I usually stay around Bukit Bintang and KLCC areas. After Sungei Besi Toll, keep right all the way till you are on Jalan Tun Razak (you will pass by a small airport on your left). Then look out for signboard leading you to Bukit Bintang on your left. Very simple but making the correct exit can be a little tricky. I think you should start to keep left on Jalan Tun Razak when you are near the Wisma Time Building. See link. Once you reach Bintang area, you should be able to find the hotel, they are everywhere. http://www.streetdirectory.com/malaysia/kl..._no=&nline=#map It would be easier if you have a GPS, it will become a brainless exercise. It is a small price to pay for added safety. In KL, take a cab to get around if possible. It is cheap and will save you a lot of time and energy as there are lots of one-way streets in KL. Soleution Neutral Newbie November 19, 2007 Share November 19, 2007 SMART Tunnel, you have to pay toll again to use that, forget it, just stick to your lane and go straight till you reach Tun Razak and you c KLCC then turn out. If money no problem, stay at Princess hotel near bukit bintang. Want straight in the heart, all Federal Group hotel is good, Fairlane (just beside Lot 10), Capitol Hotel (just beside Low Yat), and of course Federal Hotel itself. Anyway, if technology can help you to better enjoy your drive holidays, then so be it lah. My wifey is a little directionally challenged . After acquiring my Garmin, I can tell she is a little happier and less stressed during our road trips.
