Is it necessary to let the new fridge to settle down for one day/night before you turn it on?

What's the reason for it? anyone know? [hur]

The sellers say it is for the gas to settle. I don't see why gas has to settle. Did the manual say so? If no, just turn the damn thing on. These guys can cook up some urban legend just to show that they care for their customers. rolleyes.gif

Neutral Newbie

that's is what it say in my MIT Folio fridge manual, though only for 12 hours not 24 hours.

It mentioned about allowing the fuzzy logic to "get use" to the environment and to allowing the gas to reach optimum pressure and constant temp so that the fuzzy logic knows more about the fridge.

The first few days of using the fridge tends to be loud as it's still learning the usage pattern of our family so we did noticed the fridge is pretty warm on the outside as it is getting rid of the hot air in the fridge. After about a week or so, the fridge just work very quiet and well, also all thanks to it's inverter too.
