HELP!! Car remote key break.

Imagine when u crank ur car and the case jus break apart.

i change new key (with remote) for my previous picnic.

Should be ard $100.

The one with 2 button infront. Old sch type i suppose.

 

Not the flip type.

 

It abit round and 2 small little red button with rudder case.

i only saw the flip-out type and the current one. (like a normal toyota key but with the remote buttins on the rubber case)

 

 

your car got immobilizer?

if don't have, i believe most car keys shop will be able to duplicate a key for you.

 

sure cheaper than changing a total new alarm.

do u still have the car alarm manual? it should tell u how to reset the alarm and program a new remote.

You can also try Turf City, got a shop there, name should be Hua Keat, I clone a remote only for $50. remote + key should be more expensive. There is another shop inside Turf City shopping area, I never try that though.

Went to toh guan autokey to enquire abt it. But those gaf me a very old looking remote (seperate from the key) for $50.

 

But i turn them dwn. I prefer to stick with the key type if possible.

 

But only way seem like changing the entire alarm system.

actually i find the quality of the remote casing not fantastic at all. the casing will get harden and crack easily after 1 year of turning the ignition... lousy stuff.

They had such lousy product in the market. They nv tink of when their product in years later, casing should still be available to buy as or else, we need to change the entire system.

 

Cheaper solution is by buying a "ah pek" style remote.

u got any solution or place to change remote+key type? I need a best deal solution.

 

As far, i'm using my standalone key and the crack case separately onto a key chain. The case itself can't crank anymore, but can still lock and unlock (ah pek style too? haha).
