  1. One of my car remote control key got chewed up by my 3 chinchillas early in the morning when we forgottern to close their cage went down to vivocity, basement key kiosk, philipino lady told me the cost is about $800-900 for one key I almost peng san (actually heart attack) isnt it really too expensive for a key when you think about it you can buy a net book for $500-600 with cash to spare how much electronics is there in the key daylight robbery any lobang for replacement key, thanks
  2. I was almost locked out of my car after dinner and tried multiple times before the key finally worked. I also realised that the key in my fob is a dummy key and I cannot unlock my car door using the traditional key lol. I've had to replace the CR2032 battery twice in less than one year of ownership. The previous one was a Mitsubishi branded one which lasted slightly more than three months. Right now I'm using this cheap $1 Maxell one which I bought from a random convenience shop that was still open last night. Three questions: How long does the battery in your key fob usually last? What brands to use for car key? Duracell? Energizer? Should I be concerned that the mechanical key inside my fob is a dummy one?
  3. Just happen to see this product in Lazada from Singapore so for people like me who work in Tuas with Sandblasting, it is very useful. You can check it out from the below link : https://www.lazada.sg/products/v-automatic-movable-car-cover-machinewhole-car-with-remote-control-i292334790-s492336100.html?spm=a2o70.10453684.0.0.18086e40R7KzPs&mp=3
  4. These thieves don't seem to have a clue, but the whole story is pretty comical and informative. Tesla Model 3 owner Annabelle Brett was alerted that her car's alarm was triggered. The notification came to her phone via the Tesla Mobile app. Of course, she headed to the locked parking garage to check on her car, only to find it had gone missing. However, she knew the car would have Sentry Mode footage of the incident, and she also knew she could track its whereabouts using the app. Brett was smart to take a friend along, as well as contact the authorities. While Brett was tracking the Model 3 and proceeding to its location, she was also able to use the Tesla Mobile app to activate Valet Mode, among other features not directly related to safety or security. This means she could honk the horn, flash the car's lights, open and close the roof and windows, control media, and more. Brett took full advantage of the app's features to not only slow the car down but also to mess with the car's features to assure she had the thieves' attention. It didn't take long before the criminals changed plans, left Brett's Model 3, and tried to flee. The thieves were in such a hurry, they left one of their driver's licenses in the car. It didn't matter much though, since Brett had the incident on camera, and one of the criminals was easily identified. https://www.facebook.com/ACurrentAffair9/videos/3369061069857292/ Am I the only one here who have concerns with such remote access features (over an app), which can manipulate a moving car? What if someone other then the owner pickup the phone and started messing around with the car when the owner is driving it? Accident awaiting to happen? Imagine @Jamesc is driving his newly purchase Tesla to meet his small three, but left his phone at home, and her beloved MIL heck into his phone and started messing around with the driving parameters while he is behind the wheel?

  12. Sorry for starting a new topic but I am really at a lost of what to do. Went in to JB to have my car installed with new solar film. Handed over my car keys to the shop and proceeded to have coffee at a shop next to it. When it's done, I paid and drove off my car from the shop not realising that the car keys was not handed over to me. I was able to drive the car as it was started while they were putting up the solar film. However, when I reach my next stop, I was not able to lock my car doors and only then did I realised that the car keys were not handed over to me. I called back the shop and they did a search but could not locate it. I suspect that the keys were left on the ledge of the front wind screen and it may have dropped along the way. Had no choice but to get a private charter to send me home to pick up my spare keys and then return to pick up my car. I am looking at duplicating an extra key just for precaution and hence would like someone to enlighten me where and how much it would cost me to get it duplicated. Saw some advertisements in the website with a wide ranging price from $400 to $1,400. Any bros has any good recommendation that can get this fixed at a reasonable price will be very much appreciated.
  13. hi bros Any lobang for car remote duplication or repair? thanks in advance!

I actually saw a replica on sale at Jurong Point a while back but when I went back there just this last saturday, the stall selling it was no longer there. The original control costs $90 and the replica costs just $45. Anyone knows where I might be able to find a replica remote control for Daikin aircon please? I want a replica not those universal remote controls. Thanks! Mil

  21. I just installed mine last week. The remote start doesn't work to my expectations. The problem: the cranking is too long and continues for about half a second after the engine is started. Not good for starter motor. My question: Is it an installation issue, or is this an inherent problem of SPY alarms? Something to note: I brought this up to the installer, and he said SPY alarms are like that. Somehow I don't quite believe him. A 5 pole relay was included in the package but the installer did not utilise it, instead he told me a 4 pole relay was used, citing incompatibility with my car (Avante). Anyone using the SPY alarm here as well? Please help to feedback. Thanks
  22. I found that it took me a few times to lock my car using the car remote. Unlocking the car seems OK. I think it may be the battery inside the remote that is weak. Do you know where i can replace the battery in the car remote, or even better, replace the car remote completely (as the car remote plastic is falling off) ? Also, how much will it cost to replace battery or car remote?
  23. Hi, any recommendation of freelance IT guys who're able to troubleshoot remote cctv and charge reasonable. Or anyone guru out there can help? Currently using the Minix 7 (Remote function) to monitor the cctv at my parent house (Using cable 100mbps), but the transmission got cut off after less than a minute. But when i use my tablet/Hp using the same router, it doesn't get cut off. So i bring the Minix 7 back to my home (fibre 200mbps), no problem with the connection. So what's the problem here?
