Wish1719 1st Gear January 4, 2008 Share January 4, 2008 i reckon that the boycotting of taxis can go on and the cab drivers start returning the taxis back to the taxi companies since they cannot afford to pay the rent. Then the taxi companies will feel so justified for their own action. If it is a small increase, people will still accept it. But the price hike is crazy. I doubt so, think it's only going to last maybr a couple of weeks then ppl tend to forget about it and life goes on... that's what have been happening here, that's Life! Yctan Neutral Newbie January 4, 2008 Share January 4, 2008 Really hope consumer will stand together and fight back to those ridiculus price hike... if you went to korea or taiwan before, you can notice that they don't have all this stupid problem, taxi everywhere, and no funny surcharge, only single flat charge... only our elite can crack their head and come up such complicated formula... really pei fu... But they may do the dirty trick to force the consumer back to cab... Because they are belong to same "big company". Do you notice that since price hike, the bus and MRT are even more crowded now? They may purposely reduce the frequencey, and make the bus and MRT are like sardine can everyday, and let people can't enjoy the ride or always late to work, and end up still have to take out hard earn money to pay for taxi fare... For the last one week. I was in these situation a few times, behind the taxi during the traffic stop. When the traffic turn green, either the taxi move few metres slowly or it took almost 5 seconds to move off from his stationary station. Well i'm very sure the cars in front of them had already move on. Really dont know what they are up to??? Maybe as what u say, hope driver behind him langga his taxi and do a 100% on the poor fellow.
