Guys, you may give opinions & it won't be treated as an answer...

How will you react when your hubby told you that he wanna look for another job & he don't mind getting lower pay then now... He even said don't mind "eating soft rice"... Pls think carefully before replying... & keep in mind that wifey pay is miserable as take home less than $1200... with 2 kids... (K2 & N2).. both childcare fee abt $700... Enrichment course excluded in the fee amount.

i think she probably didn't wanna ask men becos of hostile response like this.

but u'r right, mebbe they just hv to cut down on expenses and make do. with current property prices, selling the flat and renting one is not really a bad idea. these r sacrifices.

but certainly i hope her hubby is not looking for an easy way out. we're all in some form of dilemna one way or another. one sud learn to adapt, to evolve ard a problem and solve them. the most worrying thing is to let the problem mount and it gets bigger.

I'm a [gorgeous] , married with kids and I also think....just leave him la.

Agreed with those who said that this is not the first time you are posting your marital problems here.

If he is really that LJL as described by you, he is really not living up to the responsibilities of a husband and father. Then what for keep him as one? [:/]

Agree ... only Ms Tan will know the answer in her heart. She just needs support from fellow ladies to make that decision. To those who flamed her, maybe it's just that we are outsiders and cannot comprehend the kind of pain she goes through everyday. [nod]

Neutral Newbie

ah... sounds a bit clearer.

I'm a wife with one kid as well, and I feel sometimes small actions and words by the husband can play important role in sustaining the marriage. So he shouldn't be joking around about "eating soft rice".

From the description it seems like the husband wants to shirk responsibility - but the wife is desperately trying to hold house and home together for the sake of the kids. Otherwise she would have taken action and divorced or separated from him a long while ago.

If TS is asking the "unmentioned" question of "Is it worth to support this sort of husband for the sake of the marriage and kids?" - my personal opinion is that it depends very much on your priorities. Think you wouldn't be wrong either way...

very sad to hear such things. I feel very fortunate not to have such problems. Even if i do, i believe my wife will stand by me, likewise i will do e same for her. Bottom line is where is e love u have promised each other when u signed on dotted line n said your vows.

When I hear such stories, I inevitably wonder "Why get married in the first place?"

But I know..."Love is blind" [rolleyes] ....Sometimes some ppl are just fated to be blinded this way...by the time they realise, too late liao...seen a lot of such cases liao...
