Chickenbackside 1st Gear February 5, 2008 Share February 5, 2008 The fact that he can afford a car, has the logic to pump $20 of petrol at one time to save weight, the taste to put Superleggeras on his car...etc, shows that this guy is of normal or even above average intelligence. He must have had a hard time in his childhood where he was neglected severely. The desire to attract attention, regardless of the quality of attention, overrides his logical side of his mind. Think of the sadness and sympathise!
Viviobluerex Clutched February 5, 2008 Share February 5, 2008 Looks like this mad scientist is at his work again. For those who follow would know he's a Professor with PHD in aerodynamic. I bet it's another one of his twisted experiments since the last "failure".... hope he does a time-machine next time.....flux capacitor anyone? You never know what's beneath his bonnet. He could be running on 04 x AAA Batteries. He goes to pump petrol in small amount are just a cover. The petrol he pumps goes into a container where he will take out and feed his remote controlled Air Surveillence Stealth Copter with a 8 x zoom Camera with NVG that he use to peep to his neighbour bathing. Apollo 1st Gear February 5, 2008 Share February 5, 2008 why must u think lidat? actually he is very much into fluid dynamics but i feel his approach is wrong. his belief if i am not wrong, is tat the aerodyn drag can b overcomed by changing the boundary layer. my POV is tat you can achieve and there is no way one will know without quantiative approach in a wind tunnel. even then, the angle of attack fr the wind play a significant part. as well as the turbulence created by adjacent objects, moving object. at very slow speed which he is driving, he cannot test tat aerody drag but on the contrary is adding load parasite to the carbody. Apollo 1st Gear February 6, 2008 Share February 6, 2008 it's not abt aesthetic, it's abt aerodynamics. the wind breakers on the car is to break off the coanda effect of air hugging onto the car, in theory would drag down the ride. the cheapest most effective method really is to drive below certain speed where optimum fuel air ratio is balanced, without taking on effects fr positive wind. and to enhance it, is simple waxing, very lightweight method to reduce surface roughness. the other chirp way is to tailgate vehicle in front, letting the front vehicle absorb the full wind force. the idea is there, but the approach is wrong. but of cos he is insisting like the wright bros, pple say they were crazy thinking how to fly but these naysayers were subsequently proven wrong. tat's his line of tot. but if he is right, of cos he can become beri rich.
