Hiphiphoray 6th Gear March 8, 2008 Share March 8, 2008 NZ is a place i will definately want to do a self-drive. But will be quite costly for me. Cos i will bring my mom & family of 4. I reckon it will costs me abt 15k for a 2 weeks self-drive South Island at least. The last time i did a 2 weeks Victoria/Melbourne Oz self-drive, it cost me 12k. ↡ Advertisement

Civic_minded Neutral Newbie March 9, 2008 Share March 9, 2008 The fine was around $120 after converting to SGD. Speed limit was 100km/h. I was caught for speeding at 111km/h... In total, I spent around $8K for 15 days self-drive for 2 person. This includes dinners just on maggie mee on a few days to cut cost... lol. Wow...u r lucky...i was caught speeding at 80kmh, the limit was 50kmh.... i got a S$550 equivalent..but that was 3 years ago..haha
