Helloooo Everyone....

I've got 2 accessories that I'm interested in getting..

Starlet Emblem

I'm interested in getting the attached photo for my starlet....

OldSchoolStarletBadge.jpg

So far, I've been to quite a few places but no luck in finding it.... (E.g: Autobacs, Car accessory shops in JB and even shops that specializes in emblems..)

I've been told that for customization, there's always a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)...so far, been quoted minimum 100pcs...Not sure if you guys have lobang for making one? Or any of you guys interested in having this too?

To reach a demand of 100pcs, I guess its not quite possible....

Door Visors

I'm driving a EP70...I know that its very difficult to find a pair of ready made ones now...anyone here has any lobang for custom made door visors?

Hi all,

am new to the family & I haven't quite reached the minimum amount of posts required to start a new thread, so I'll post my questions here since it's the closest in relation to my questions.

1) I've been driving an EP80 for about a month now, and i find that the gear shaft is quite high, and it often causes me to elbow jab my passengers on their arms when i'm shifting 1st or 2nd gear.

Is it possible to shorten the gear shaft, at a workshop, or replace the current gear shaft with a shorter one?

2) Does anybody know a workshop that can install powered windows for the EP80? The last workshop I went to says nobody does that for starlets anymore

3) Anybody selling black leather seats for the EP80 cheap?

Thanks in advance for any advice given, and pardon the noob questions as I;m a 1st time car owner..

Hi bro welcome to our starlet family.

Regarding your question....

You can go down to Saber workshop to modify your gear shifter to a short shifter. I think he doe it at around $100+ with labour. It will greatly reduce the throw of each gear.

2) Does anybody know a workshop that can install powered windows for the EP80? The last workshop I went to says nobody does that for starlets anymore

Again you can head down to Saber workshop to install your power window... but before that you need to purchase the 4 power window assembly from the scrap yard. You can give me a buzz and I'm glade to help you source out the stuff needed. My number is in my profile.

3) Anybody selling black leather seats for the EP80 cheap?

As for black leather seat, you can go to re-wrap your seat in Malaysia. won't cost a lot but you can customise how it look like. And it doesn't cost a lot in Malaysia.

You prefer to cut the gear shift short so that you can touch their legs instead of jabbing their arms? [laugh]

I think it's the size of our car la... and size of us.

Well now, you just gave me another great reason to shorten my gear shaft Kazuo!

The car came with a crappy gear knob that looked like the top of an old man's tonkat, and that extended the length of the gear shaft even further, argh very pek chek just talking about it.

Have to wait for next payday before I can do anything for her, I already blew my savings on her down payment and engine overhaul -_-"

Saw a portion off yourself lor. But the whole rod is very thick, make sure you got the right metal saw for the job.

but then you will be limited to gear knob which use allen key to tighten, which is not a problem since there are so many variety out there.

Just do a proper short shifter from Saber. Please don't saw it off yourself.

By the way, just want to share with you guys this place called GosfordLeather, opposite Pelangi Plaza. Its really quite close to the checkpoint (5 mins), but finding the shop is quite tricky as its in the inner parallel road (Jalan Harimau Terom) instead of the main Tebrau highway. You can enter through the Esso station from Jalan Harimau.

I did my full PVC rewrap for 4 doors and 2 rear seats, for only RM500. I got to choose the material, texture and colour combi. Looks spiffy and neat now. If you want, can even do a custom embroidery design.

Map there is attached.

Cutting the rod only shorten the shift stick.

Is it really possible to modify a normal shifter to short shift without replacing any major part?
