Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 1. I wonder how many car owners are actually concern about air quality in the cabin and is willing to invest in an air ionizer? 2. A MedKlinn Car Ionizer ( http://www.unique1995.sg/airsterilizer/mobile.asp ) costs as much as RM369. How much do you spend on an ionizer? Any good brands to recommend? Thank you. Watwheels Supersonic April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 IMO Air ionizer works best only if they are built-in as part of the air-condition system of the car.

Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Author Share April 9, 2008 I am more willing to believe in natural ionizers such as charcoal and pandan leaves Can Charcoal and dead leaves gave out sufficient ions? A clean breach can generates as much as 60,000 ions per cc and a forest can generates as much as 100,000 ions per cc. A mobile car ionizer can go up to 3,000,000 ions per cc. Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Author Share April 9, 2008 IMO Air ionizer works best only if they are built-in as part of the air-condition system of the car. I read that there are pros and cons of having integrated ionzier in the air-con system. Air-con filter tends to trap dust and dirt if not changed regularly or cleaned diligently. Watwheels Supersonic April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 They are more like deodorizer. Remove smell not ionized the air.
Watwheels Supersonic April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 I dun think that's too difficult. Just some regular maintainence for cleaner air.

Kelpie 2nd Gear April 9, 2008 Author Share April 9, 2008 i wonder if those budget S$20-S$40 ones works? does it really clean the air? They worked initially but most don't last. Hence, I'm looking for a larger one such as the MedKlinn and they tend to be much more expensive. Regards,

Siyexcalibur Neutral Newbie April 9, 2008 Share April 9, 2008 It is known that many Ionizers produce Ozone as a by-product and Ozone is harmful to your health. In conclusion, I think you should avoid them. I stop using all the ionizers I bought. http://www.vacsew.com/iqair/ozone.htm
