Kelpie 2nd Gear April 15, 2008 Share April 15, 2008 Hi, how effective is this Ultima Paint Guard against bird droppings? Under hot sun, the bird droppings would dried up and stick to the car surface. Does it mean by using plain water of wet tissue to wip out will do and the next moment shine will be restored? Thanks. Regards,

Regards, Hi Kelpie, I cannot garantee that with UPGP the bird droppings will not stain or etch in the conditions you described. From my observations, the etchings happens less often compared to the times when i use wax. For bird droppings, I believe that alot depends on how acidic the dropping is, ie, what that bird ate cos there are times that there is zero etchings and the shine stays intact, but there are also times which needs machine buffing to get rid of the etchings. ↡ Advertisement
