Carlover76 Neutral Newbie April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 (edited) At least another seller selling same camera at $99, more reasonable. Maybe we can buy together? Edited April 23, 2008 by Carlover76
Yeshe Turbocharged April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 (edited) i was thinking of installing one, pretty small and install beside the rear-view mirror. it can be activate on collision detection or manual, however only 30s clip can be captured, up to 10 clips. The price is quite steep at $500. It is quite good, made in korea, recognised and recommended by the insurers in Korea. P.S, correction, i think made in Japan. check this out http://www.mrhm.co.jp/roadrview/dr966rv/index.htm Edited April 23, 2008 by Yeshe
Yeshe Turbocharged April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 nah, i m not interested in this one. If i wanna use this one, i would rather buy the HP stand from Mustafa and use my N95 for recording.
David Clutched April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 Can record for how long? Does it have motion detector? When you are driving, and others are also driving - that'smotion already. What other motion do you want to detect? crossing?
Leepee 1st Gear April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 The infamous "Taxi jam brake in front of me" is taken with this same camera. Its not a neat installation on the dashboard of a car, IMHO. But it works well to capture road events.
Ender Hypersonic April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 Was it clear enough to capture the license plate?

Xefera 6th Gear April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 at one point, i was thinking of building my own survillance camera using the same concept as those DIY I.C.E years ago. assemble a simple low powered computer with the necessary HDD, CPU, video capturing card. wired it to your hidden camera then hide it under the car seat or in the glove compartment. tap power from 12V outlet and voila! a simple system that works limitlessly except by the size of your HDD. But to date, dream only but never get down to building it.
