Bionix77 Neutral Newbie May 1, 2008 Share May 1, 2008 Hi all, Currently in a dilemma as to whether to get a 3 yr car which has 120,000 km done. Car has been regularly service at dealer as seen thru the service record. Think it suffered a slight accident at the rear, plus windscreen got a wiper scratch. Any advise/comments? Thanks ↡ Advertisement

So_nice 6th Gear May 1, 2008 Share May 1, 2008 no way..an average singaporean uses about 20,000km per yr. 3 yrs probably in the region of 60,000 or 70,000km. 120,000km means there's gonna be alot of wear and tear.
Kenneth_1981 Neutral Newbie May 1, 2008 Share May 1, 2008 my ride is 2++ yrs old, haven't even hit 40k.. coming close though.. 120,000km? forget it.. not worth it... for me, i would only hit 120,000km in the 8th yr,,,

S4vtec 3rd Gear May 1, 2008 Share May 1, 2008 but isn't a high mileage car a safer buy ? meaning car is used regularly with minimal breakdowns that's why it's able to cover such a distance . rather than to buy a "low " mileage example that could mean the opposite? Jazz 2nd Gear May 1, 2008 Share May 1, 2008 It the normal wear and tear part that most people concern, do you think that warranty cover for 3 years or 100,000 km for nothing.
Albeniz Turbocharged May 1, 2008 Share May 1, 2008 My 17 year old lau pok kar has 285,000km on its meter. Average is about 17k km per year. 120k km is way too much for a 3 year old car. I am sure it has traveled to Malaysia many, many times. ↡ Advertisement
