Zuoom 1st Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 it's a big face watch. literally. at 44mm across. 50mm if you include the crown. that's almost a typical 2" display gauge on your wrist. haha. Reference in the movies. http://www.paneristi.com/reference/Panerai_in_movies/ it's quite a recent trend, starting from early 2000. got myself an replica without knowing the history last time. http://www.paneristi.com/reference/vintage.html the thing that appeals to me. simple dial, big n chunky. just wear n forget about it. if you have the spare cash, n like big face watches, this is one of the few brands to be seen wearing n to wear. Genie47 1st Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 Buran watches have actually gone up in price. Good if you have bought them much much earlier. No such luck these days. It's likethe Braun Buffel story. When they started. Cheap. Now, pay through your nose to own one.
Genie47 1st Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 I got a replica from Bangkok. Damn funny when I was looking at them. Awed by the replica makers but at the same time, I was educated by a jeweller on where the replica makers fumble. Wife got a replica Bell and Ross. One of the screws fell out! Lost dunno where already. Most replica Panerai are 42mm instead of 44mm.

Genie47 1st Gear May 26, 2008 Share May 26, 2008 They are around 40-42mm but the high quality replicas which sell for THB3000 are near exact at 44mm.

Khimwoon Neutral Newbie May 30, 2008 Share May 30, 2008 naza... if u thinking of getting the panerai... follow ur heart... its a great watch to have and its jus so nice... i used to have the pam112 base and the pam111 marina... end up selling them for a small profit and settled for a sea-dweller now... now panerai pricing is getting a bit off hand with its base pam112 model costing ard 5.8k last time i get only 4.4k for the pam111 and 4k for the pam112... actually panerai is a very simple watch... that why i love it... the reason why i sold them is when i saw a replica pam112 looking totally same as the real one... cos the design and movement is so simple that it can be reproduce at relative ease... for the price i sell... i can get a SD... so i went for a SD instead... loving it... u can try http://www.paneristi.com/ there u see some singapore seller like william loi... price quite reasonable ↡ Advertisement
