I'm going off topic on this but I think education should seek to impart knowledge and the pursuit of the elegant solution rather than using other complex methods. This is especially so for the fields of mathematics and physics for these 2 are the fundamental blocks of the universe.

 

Pressing students using diagrams instead of the simple elegant solution is stifling and bogs down creativity. Granted that there must be step A before step B but I think the syllabus these days are too widespread and varied when there is a simple solution.

Nowadays, these papers are set tougher and tougher until we don't know where on earth did these questions come from. They aint according to what the students learn anyway in school!

dont worry, the school will tell you to memorise everything. including compo word for word and you will guaranty pass. Teacher/markers' job was easier because everyone answer will be the same

 

For maths excam in SG, answer correct, working wrong also consider wrong. In other countries, arguement make sense but answer wrong can still get A

think teachers all go back and dig up their secondary school books for questions to set in pri 6 papers...don't know what they are trying to do...I suspect some of the questions were created by themselves...cos the english / language can confuse the reader regardless of age
