But a Taiwanese teacher decided to go against the flow and used the platform to offer Mathematics lessons instead. The 34-year-old, identified as Mr Changshu, has a master’s degree in the subject, and has been teaching online and in Taiwanese schools for 15 years. He also lectured on YouTube before developing an online course with its own dedicated URL last year, Mel Magazine reported. Mr Chang also started to spread his numeric gospel on Pornhub last year as he wanted more people to view them. “Since very few people teach math on adult video platforms, and since there are so many people who watch videos on them, I thought that if I uploaded my videos there, a lot of people would see them,” he was quoted as saying. So far, Mr Chang's plan has worked well. His videos have been viewed 1.6 million times and it directs business to his more profitable online course. I think this is one piece of good news for many, as next time kena caught by wife, girl friend, small 3 for surfing pornhub, just tell them you are trying to improve on your maths. 😁😁

The ratio of Jim's sweets to chocolates became 1:7 and the ratio of Ken's sweets to chocolates became 1:4. How many sweets did Ken buy?" Ans: 68. My daughter P3 Maths exam question. Which of the following has the least pairs of perpendicular lines ? The drawing shows : A - 1 intersecting pair B - 0 pair C- 1 intersecting pair & 1 non-intersecting pair D- 2 interesecting pairs My daughter answer is 'A' and so is mine. The Correct answer is 'B'. Any comment on the phrase 'least pairs of perpendicular lines ? Aren't we expecting at least 1 pair instead of No perpendicular line at all.

Frankly reading and trying to understand the maths problem stated in the ST Forum letter already took me 1 1/2 minutes and to solve within another 3 1/2 minutes without using simultaneous equation is beyond my capability. Are you able to solve it within 5 minutes? Just glad that I was born many moons back and not have to face this type of maths question nowadays... Can understand this dad's frustration and hope that I will not pose a similar question to the authorities when my children faces such a situation in the future... Sometimes it seems as though they are simply intent on making life miserable for them. Take a look at this maths question in a recently concluded Primary 6 preliminary exam: 'Three halls contained 9,876 chairs altogether. One-fifth of the chairs were transferred from the first hall to the second hall. Then, one-third of the chairs were transferred from the second hall to the third hall and the number of chairs in the third hall doubled. In the end, the number of chairs in the three halls became the same. How many chairs were in the second hall at first?' I challenge readers to solve this problem in five minutes, which is all the time a Primary 6 pupil has to do it. I challenge school principals to do it, without the help of equations, which Primary 6 pupils aren't equipped with yet. Setting such difficult questions serves no educational purpose - it only undermines the pupils' self-esteem. Stephen Lin
