Took some video on the drive up and down Genting on my 10-12 June trip and a small part on the way back on N/S HW. wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif

3D2N holiday to Genting, 4 adults + 4kids + luggage in my Auto Hyundai Trajet 2L Beta2 CVVT engine. A puny in-line4 2L pulling a 2+ toner MPV sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

Going down Genting part 2:

(As usual, I will stop after the 2nd police post and wait for my bro-in-law's car, normally it's either one of my nephew or the maid will vomit, this time round, it's the maid.)

(Finally, my bro-in-law's car is here and we proceed.)

Going down Genting part 4:

(Along Kuantan highway and heading to Mines resort for lunch and a bit of shopping.)

it's unexpected to be so cold at night, it was raining sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif, the past 2 years also during June it wasn't raining in the late afternoon and at night wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif so that's why this trip we didn't pack too many cold weather clothings for my 4 kids and it was a big mistake sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

Wah you beri steady, rain so heavily still no need wipers! dizzy.gif

I've been using Rain-X on all my cars since 1990 wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif no need to use wipers when travel above 100km/h as the rain drops will flow away, wipers causes too much distraction to the driver, IMHO nod.gifnod.gifnod.gif

it's fun for me to drive up and down Genting but do be careful around the bend, I only use L1 and D2 all the way and uses aftermarket brake rotor and pads for the front thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

remember to use those standard halogen lamp or if using HID, make sure it's those yellow colour ones and not white or purple sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

i saw the threads of RE001. one side is for dry, the other to disperse water for wet. how is the performance in both dry and wet during the trip ?

sidewall hard enough for lup corner in GH ? [sly]

looks like you didnt have to siamz for faster cars to pass you. you taken them all ah ? [laugh][laugh] did you on your yellow foggies in NSH to tell them "i am coming !!" ? [rolleyes][:p]

during the drive along Kuantan to foothill of Genting, I cut thru' a puddle of water (can see in part 2 video), it was quite stable at 110km/h thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

sidewall is good enough for the corners for me, steering feel not too bad, didn't make that much noise as compare to T1R, I didn't push that hard as the last time when on T1R on the way down.

There is a stage, on the way back to SG on N/S HW, that I have to give way to both a MY BMW 525 and MY Altis 1.8L corolla that were pushing around 180+km/h, mine can only max out around 170km/h when I let the ECU to up shift to OD (at 6000rpm & 160km/h).

If I disable the OD below 150km/h, I can push it up to about 6500rpm & speed almost 170km/h, then turn on OD and it will slowly climb up to 180km/h but this is the max liao sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif
