actually, many 2nd car dealer is doing a lot of funny things... if you guys wanna buy a 2nd car car, you have to bring it to your workshop and check, make sure that it is not their workshop... those cardealer can even get a report showing that the car is problem/ accident free and from those establish car repair company like St*r, Com*ord Del*ro & etc....

that's true, that's why when I buying used car, I will tell the dealer that I will send it to AA for evaluation to check even they have cert from those company that you mention.

AA will not be bias as they serve members only nod.gifnod.gifnod.gif

Just wanna share with you guys that my colleague experience buying 2nd hand car.

Recently about 2 months back, he bought a 2nd hand Camry from a 2nd hand dealer. It was SGB plate, the mileage was about 40K. Dealer claim accident free.

My colleague actually went to Borneo motors last week to check whether when was the last servicing done and realised that his car went back to Borneo the last time is for a windscreen replacement and the mileage clocked was then over 70K. shocked.gifshocked.gifshocked.gif

I noticed that the bonnet of the car was also resprayed, the paint work finishing wasn't the same as the rest of the car body.

Even now they can adjust the Odometer? unimpressed.gif

Odometer can be adjusted easily with this devices, easily available in China and cheap also

IMO your friend should have checked with BM b4 signing the dotted line.

Now all he can do is comprain to CASE or file a suit against the dishonest dealer for fraud.

The dealer can claim that he also kena conned by the previous owner and bought the car believing that it was actually 40K km.....so who is the culprit ???

Neutral Newbie

just got to be careful. when buying car cannot be buying on impluse.

It like love at first sight. c the paint work shinning shinning and sport rim chio chio just keep thinking of the car. blind by all fact. Take your time compare the price and check all history of the car before put signiture on the dotted line. sold my 2 year old car recently at 68k mileage. saw the ad from the dealer put below 20k mileage. Soo scary. [sweatdrop]
