Samsung omnia - Current users please come in

1 thing very irritating about the Omnia is that whenever iam talking on the phone,it will automatically lock the touch screen.

any way to unlock this function?

lock the screen is to prevent your face accientally touch the screen button...

sianz, mine only Agis software,,,,but guess what, i got problem registering the software on the net....need to call the hotline liao

Just get BB on mobile lar. $14/mth quite ok. 50gb cannot finish using. I am a bandwidth sucker... the highest i hit in 1 mth is 16gb.

 

Breakdown of how I use my BB for that mth.

1) Download email set to entire mail with attachment. avg of 30mails per day

2) MSN on all the time.

3) AGPS on.

4) Surf like 4hrs a day on the phone.

5) Connect to PC and surf on PC for 4hrs a day.

6) downloaded 12 Avi files at 900mb each

 

i have a singtel mobile line and a singtel broadband on mobile ..does it mean i can use the mobile broadband sim card and put into my omnia to use the GPS service, of whcih the GPS utlisation would be based on my mobile broadband plan?

Been lots of discussion about this on HWZ. I think this function is hard-coded in, and its for your own good. I can understand the frustrations if you're dialing those talk to computer 1..need to key in is a pain. Haha, new omnia user here too. Love the GPS!

No, it is Omnia..... planning to get the HD soon....

via wifi or when your ppc phone is hooked onto your pc connected....

 

Of course, if you have unlimited data plan, you can watch over 3.5G network...

I have tried connecting to wi-fi at MacDonald which has free wi-fi spots.

 

The phone shows Wi-fi is "Available" and "Free Public Wifi" at Connecting stage. However for a good 5 mins or more, it keeps showing "Connecting" which i feel shdnt be the case.

 

I have not performed any change in configuration to the IE, Opera Browser or Wi-Fi connections that come default with Omnia.

 

Does anyone have any resolution? thank you

I don't know anout free wifi at Mac.... I have connected with wireless@sg and no probs.... I will try at Mac one day and let you guys know.....

I am referring to wireless sg without having to hook on to GPRS....
