Sorry to have dug this old thread out.

Would like to ask those who frequently fly SQ to London if SIA usually holds good promotion around now till Feb, to fly from March?

I am planning a family trip to London next March and tot I should ask around for SQ's promo since I have the luxury of time...unlike previous trip, too last min. + peak seasons and had to grab whatever was available.

I am only looking at SQ (or BA/Qantas; but price comparable to SQ), cos wife doesn't do well on plane (even tho she fly around very often)..so only looking at direct flight and A380 (cos kids...and I like).

Thanks.

Finally came across a rather good SQ tix promotion (amex promo; cheaper than child's tix) & realised why my family & I hardly take up these super-good deals, cos often, the popular flights are excluded in such promotion. Cannot image dealing with kids within a confined space & a wife who doesn't fly well.

The search is over for me, probably just go for the 2-to-go offer.

Neutral Newbie

I studied in UK (London to be specific) for 2 yrs. Agreed. I like the place. Although it's already 15yrs ago, on and off, I will bring up my photo album to recall the nice memory. I hope I can save enough to revisit this place again with my family.

Agree that the UK is indeed a nice place. Maybe my wife & I are bias cos we each have our own nice memories of the place eg. Growing up, studying, working, etc... But my older child, who's 4yrs old, like London so much that she would rather go to London repeatedly instead of going to Disneyland in Japan, HK or Paris....and she has been there twice already & the next trip will be her 3rd & 2nd for my younger one who will be 2yrs old.

Best time to go will be this year cos of weaker

Btw, on the topic of flying. Any idea where I can buy children headphones (for 4yrs or and below)? Those provided by the airline are to big for the kids. Thanks

Try calling Stereo Electronics, they sell quite a number headphone brand. They have a branch in Causeway Pt and Plaza Sing.

The air is crazy dirty. At the end of everyday when you clear your nose, you will see.

Cannot be avoided especially if you take the tube....old tunnels covered with loads of dead skin, century-old dust, etc....
