Gosh...... not that i bad hearted or what but we shall see how long can they last. Mayb the girl no prob but the guy? 20 yr old n a father......... can he bear the responsibilities of being a father? can he forgo the freedom n stay at home to look after children when his peers are out partying whole nite long? We shall see

It's not only the responsiblilty ... Unless the fellow is a super streetwise fellow or a richie boy, else be able to command a pay to sustain a growing family after NS is a tall order.

A career take years to build up. At least to me.

Relak bro I am not arguing with you [:p] just relating experiences of the people around me. But yes its true that more marriages these days seem to fall apart quicker then the yesteryears. I guess it could partially be the influence of "Hollywood lifestyles", liberalization and the shift towards individualism. Sad thing is I don't foresee the situation getting any better. Maybe MIW should also place strong focus on making families work, rather then just twist the policies to encourage baby making.

married in June... baby due in NOV... same year? hmmm shot guy?

wow a 12 yr gap... that's really quite alot. think it's easy to forsee all the possible problems that will come up slowly over time, but we'll never know what e outcome will be, hopefully it'll be a long lasting marriage.... as for me I'd never marry an older woman, because of the various reasons.

well, if i'm 20 and my gf is lin zhi ling at 34, i certainly won't mind [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Anything is possible in this world. A younger hubby of 12 years difference is no big deal. My concern is the age of the guy when they got married. The guy seems too young and his thinking and philosophy of life may change when he grows older and this may affect the marriage. The baby does not necessarily create/strengthen the bond between the couple but instead become the victim of a broken marriage. But well.. give them the support, everything may turn out well although by default to me, such marriage has a lower rate of success.

When we married another person.

It's "till death do us part, for better or for worst". If the other person cannot take the vow. The marriage will end up in smoke.

Let's hope your friend can overcome this difficult period with her husband.

It is blessed that they are able to connect and find love in each other. As long as there is marital bliss and can live together harmoniously, I'm sure it's wayyyy better than living with another partner in daily disagreements and quarrels.

Why get pregnant when he is not even working? Won't the child suffer when he come to earth? Sting on milk powder, need to buy melamine stain milk etc. This is strange, use big head to think before using the small head.........that's what i feel. Unless the lady is making big bucks and dun mind but seems they are struggling.
