IU problem

my car only 3 months old, but for the past 2 months or so, the IU unit is having problem.

 

when it pass through ERP gantry, its fine.

 

but when go to car parks, damn quite often it cant read my IU

 

i need to reverse n move forward again a few times till it can read

 

some times it can read for a while then it stop reading the iu, even before the gate opens

 

some times it read the IU, but it dont deduct from the cash card

 

some times i got to wait very long till it read my IU.

 

we know if it read the IU or not because most carparks got the LED display right.

 

then went to vicom to inspect, everything is fine, even try the car park beside there.

its fine. they said its the car park problem, the angle of the sensor not right la,

then they also said its cash card problem??

 

how the hell it can be cash card problem? when we go into car park, we dont even need to insert the cash card, we can even go in and out using different cash card.

 

zzzzZZzzz.........wat to do guys? i cause many inconvenience to other car user in the car park. alot of times i need to reverse and try the other gates.

 

i said to vicom, just try change the IU lo, they said then it will be same problem what...

1st thing 1st check if your IU is under warranty? Call LTA, give your carplate and ask them check.

 

Dun tell me your car how old, it is of no consequence because your IU may be 2nd hand IU.

 

if warranty, go vicom ask them change. If not under waraanty, pay the $100+ and ask them change. It was reported in papers the IU and some cashcards are not compatible.

when u go in to car park, do u need to insert the cash card?

 

i thought it just read the IU unit, it record the time we go in and when we go out later.

 

we can go out using different cash card if let say the 1st cash card dont hv enuff amount. i tried it before.

 

i just dont understand what they mean by cash card problem.

 

they said, must PUT IN the cash card when want to enter car park and MUST use the same cash card when go out. if not, they consider me cheating. LOL.

 

 

ask them to change also like very hard like that, coz when go vicom everything ok.

but when i go out, thats the real problem, i just dont like causing problem for other cars.i often need to use the intercom in the car park.sian....

Your 1st part is right.

 

No need put cashcard when going in carpark.

 

My even better my IU keep short circuit, they blame on my ICE, i told them go fly kite, my previous IU use so long also no problem. I insist them to change. After changing the 3rd one then nothing wrong liao

 

Well... it is common that if problem is not rectified, people will push the problem to somewhere else.

It depends on which car parks you go to ...

 

Ngee Ann City must have cashcard in your IU before entry.

The exit point on the 6th floor got problems... i always kana stuck there. Bugis junction exit to north bridge road also...

 

Might be your solar film is too dark also....
