anything but Carrier, not that the air-con is not cold, but their aftersale service suck..

Sanyo and National not bad....

fujitsu is another brand I wouldn't recommend.

Not sure whether was it the poor installation or poor QC for the unit... The 1 year 2 month a/c units I have in my club broke dow a few times within a year. thumbsdown.gifthumbsdown.gif

it comes with 10 yr warranty right....got problem repairing??

I was told that Toshiba aircons are actually Carrier (taken over by Toshiba or something like that). Is it also true that for inverter a/c, there's a tendency for quite a number of sensors to spoil?

They some JV or something like that.

I have been using my ac for 4yr+, so far, only 1 blower unit "motherboard" needed to be replaced. The compressor is fine.

I got the Toshiba partly bec I visit a friend often and am surprised that the unit cools the place rather fast. Her ac is working fine and is into its 6th yr.

Suggest you take a look at ac when u visit other pple homes and get feedback. Nothing like being an actual user.

Remember to consider the compressor BTU. One reason why I opted for Toshiba was bec during the time I searched for ac, most were 22k BTU. If your place have 3 bedrooms like to use ac at night, that is about 27k.

I hate diakin

they probably eaten me >10K for about 8 years on repairs

each time must change something

the last time one tiny sensor cannot detect which would cost just a few cents ask me to change who mother board

which would cost me close to $400 and that could buy me a new blower

next time I see the Daikin boss I will shaft the Daikin blower up his ......

u wanna shove it up his [sweatdrop]

I think the fujitsu mentioned with 10yr warranty sounds good but read if got any clauses. If I were looking for ac, I might check out fujitsu.

hmm..sometime before the depreciation is up, change new asset rather than renewing maintenance contract is much easier to get budget and less hassle in facing system breakdown.. [:p]
