Mojoe Neutral Newbie October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 Errmmm... I'm not sure as well... that's why I asked about history of this one... But the 156 SW is one strange car... boot space smaller than the sedan so may not fit my needs. ↡ Advertisement
Mojoe Neutral Newbie October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 errmmm... okay... but please don't use CAPs when writing... looks like you are shouting.
Samshio 2nd Gear October 22, 2008 Author Share October 22, 2008 that's strange. SW boot smaller than sedan. Then why have SW ?

Vtim 3rd Gear October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 no lah... this one cannot be approved by CO... another hatch with another round of family planning in mind cannot lah... btw... you know the history of this one... http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...337&DL=1000 this one I don't know, you need to check with the AROC guys
Sony 1st Gear October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 The titanium would be a better looking one with a few more items in it. then there's the GHIA model that control the damping and suspension if I'm not wrong.. I was looking at it 2 months back but the trend model was going for 105 if I didn't remember wrongly. Titanium was 9k and ghia was 10k more than trend. like you mention, it's not really a performance car but for long drive and handling, it would be good and not as loud compared to others like legacy... If you can neg, I would suggest the titanium model....Trend is rather bare if you ask me..but I'm a sucker for buttons
Sony 1st Gear October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 It is definitely a looker and a good car... The SA I spoke to mentioned that the higher road tax and poor FC are the 2 main reasons why people shunned away. YOU ARE RIGHT! MAIN BUGBEARS ARE HIGH FC AND ROAD TAX. OTHERWISE, IT IS A SMOOTH SAILER, REALLY ENJOYABLE TO DRIVE. ADVISE IS TO WAIT FOR HYBRIDS IN ABOUT 2 YRS TIME. ALL MAJOR CAR MAUFACTURERS WORLDWIDE ARE ROLLING NEW HYBRIDS OUT ABOUT 2010 ONWARDS but price of hybrids might be much higher in its initial stage
Mojoe Neutral Newbie October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 (edited) 3 previous owners... hmmmm... the boot space may be a damper for me though. Looks like original plate so maybe easier to trace. does the GTA comes in manual manual? This one doesn't state that it's the Falali sourced selespeed... Vtim 3rd Gear October 22, 2008 Share October 22, 2008 IIRC, 156GTA comes in Manual and also Selespeed
Samshio 2nd Gear October 23, 2008 Author Share October 23, 2008 no Mondy owners here ?? BTW Ghia model is abt 10k more and has Rear a/c vents, corner static lamps, auto dimming rear view mirror, auto headlights, electric folding mirror, bi-xenon, the suspension adjustment, window shades, etc. Worth it ? Samshio 2nd Gear October 23, 2008 Author Share October 23, 2008 Test droved the Mazda 6 just now. Not bad. a bit "lighter" in feel to the mondeo, but handling not bad, just a touch below Mondy. Interior is smaller than mondy, but still quite spacious. Boot space Mondy beats it. Lot's of gadgets, and cheaper by around 10k Sporty look, as opposed to Mondeo's executive look Overall, quite a competitive package. Can see why Mondy is not popular. However, my CO is against Jap/Korean/China cars.
Darth_mel 1st Gear October 23, 2008 Share October 23, 2008 Actually they are almost the same car. Both share same platform and look almost alike IMO especially the hatchback. If you change the badges between the two I don't think many will even see the difference.
Samshio 2nd Gear October 23, 2008 Author Share October 23, 2008 I thought Mazda 6 is based on the old mazda 6 ford platform, whereas the new mondeo is based on the new EUCD platform shared with the volvo s80 ?
