Akula Turbocharged October 31, 2008 Share October 31, 2008 Lets see, draw not more than 10 and lose not more than 5, meaning played 38 Win 23 Draw 10 Lose 5, giving total of 79 pts. Err dun think 79 pts is enough. IMO needs about 85-88 pts these days, think that in some past seasons that might not even be enough.
Dj_spike 2nd Gear October 31, 2008 Share October 31, 2008 I think ending Chelsea's formidable 4yr 8 month unbeaten homeground run already proves they have the credentials. One game of cos doesn't mean anything, but from the way they played so far these season, I have to say this Pool team have finally got the spirit and tenacity to match the big two. Its just tat when you played so magnificently early in the season, can you keep it up so well all the way til the end? I hope so But I think this poll's not really accurate... coz got alot of Liverpool fans here in MCF

Blue2 1st Gear October 31, 2008 Share October 31, 2008 that depends on the "quality" of other teams during the season... but 1 of the season Arsenal got 83points, more than the previous season champion total, but they can only manage 3rd..... Padre Neutral Newbie October 31, 2008 Share October 31, 2008 If Pool can beat Tottenham at White Hart Lane this sunday then they are really Title challenger this season. This is the worst time meeting Spurs as Harry Redknapp are a proven manager. The fight back at Emirates and scoring 4 goals away shows their character. If Pool can get a win from White Hart Lane this sunday then they are proven challenger for this season. I agree, worst possible time to meet a rejuvenated Spurs. Spurs has proven that they can fight back to DRAW but Reds has proven many times to comeback to WIN A win at white hart lane will definitely boost Reds titles credentials. GO REDS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hilander4650 Neutral Newbie October 31, 2008 Author Share October 31, 2008 Liverpool are very realistic challengers and I think they will be neck to neck with Chelsea and Man U but feel Chelsea could pip them to the title by 1 or 2 points towards the end...I personally feel Pool might have peaked too early... yeh agree with u liverpool might not last the title race although they are in great form now imo would put my money with Man utd to retain the title ..its easier to retain the title than to win it the first time.. Damienic 5th Gear October 31, 2008 Share October 31, 2008 (edited) I would not rule out Man U but I rate their chances a bit lower than it was compared to last yr..reason being it not easy to motivate a team whose players have won the league back to back..when you have success before but enjoyed a barren spell for a couple of yrs, you'll be more hungry..I suspect chelsea will be more hungry than Man U this season for the title..even Pool will be more hungry than Man U I feel but only a matter of whether they can last the distance..its just like how Man U won back to back titles in 2000-2001 and then went couple of yrs without winning it and became very determined to land the title again after tat(in that faithful yr where they smash Ars's unbeaten record and went on an incredible run to win the title)..this yr Man U is facing a much fiercer rivalry from Chelsea and liverpool compared to previous 2 yrs where their only opponent is Chelsea..Man U is just too successful in recent times..it'll be hard to repeat the feat again..not impossible, but quite a bit harder than it used to be.. Hilander4650 Neutral Newbie October 31, 2008 Author Share October 31, 2008 woohoho..look at the poll results.. Man U & Liverpool on par.. Chelsea & pool will be hard to beat this season..goal difference will be vital so teams that can keep more clean sheets will be very important from now on..with daniel agger back in the back four with carrager, pool defence will be quite formidable. Chelsea with cavalho out for 3 weeks will be hard to replace..

Chongster 6th Gear October 31, 2008 Share October 31, 2008 (edited) my arsenal definitely out now going forward, they are as good as any, but they play a computerhacker for a goalkeeper, a central defensive pairing that doesn't work, no defensive midfielder, plus two wingbacks chelsea will win it lah. liverpool has been the luckiest team in the premiership this season, and will get found out soon Edited October 31, 2008 by Chongster
