Beng2 5th Gear November 18, 2008 Share November 18, 2008 I thought the other party has up to six years to file a claim? If that's the case, wouldn't the insurance company hold the NCD for six years too? Someone pls clarify..
Sci10213 3rd Gear November 19, 2008 Share November 19, 2008 (edited) yes... property claims have up to 6 years. Insurers have to review their files constantly and 2 years is usually the holding period. If no claim after 2 years, insurers can review the NCD on case-by-case basis. However, if the claim comes in on 2 years & 1 day, the NCD will be forfeited & insurers will claw back the refund premium (if any) This review file system applies in general. Please check with your own insurer for any difference. Edited November 19, 2008 by Sci10213 ↡ Advertisement
