Hi guys, my car is coming 3 years old / 90K and aircon is as good as day 1, but nothing's been change other than aircon filter.

Is there any PM that we can do to our car's aircon before it breaks down?

hmm, read about those air-con servicing package from 3M, Tuff, etc...so, in your view, there is no need for such servicing?

I dunno leh...our home aircon is being serviced every 3-4 times per year. So same to apply to the car, right? [confused]

For my home, 5 yrs did not serviced air-con, only do own cleaning bi- yearly. However, I think gas a little bit low after that and need to serviced.

For car, change the air-con filter every 8 months or so. Unless got problem then sent to air-con shop for service and repair.

I feel aircon is probably one of the most neglected parts of a car (others being brake fluid, coolant, etc). Aircon compressor oil need to be replaced and gas recharged. At the same time, check that the dryer, coil, etc..need to be cleaned, etc..

Go for at yearly servicing at Markcool. There will be diff after servicing. Better to do regular servicing before it breaks down...sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

Most important after servicing is to get a proper cabin air filter.Protects you, your family and your compressor. NOT all cars have cabin air filters!
