I have sat in one. I must say its very spacious, and can seat 8 rather comfortably. The 2nd row aircon is good too

The engine's spritely on the low end for moving on, but of course, its rather gutless at higher speeds. The consumption is not so good, about 10km/l.

Just a basic form of transport for a large family. Get it for what it is, rather than what it could be should be your mindset if you happen to have other ideas

Own one before, I would say go for others.

Spacious is the only plus point.

Engine under driver's seat, thirsty, lack of power etc....

That's why I've changed my ride

Well, obviously u are ok with the looks else will not be considering it.

Major points are, spacious, low road tax, sturdy/reliable, relatively cheap to own and run (abt 9-10km/l) but on 92.

Weak points are, van like/high CG, engine runs out of breathe approaching 3 figure speeds, engine under front seats (kinda hot). very basic.

Test drove APV before, U really have to step on the accelerator before it moves, as the 1.6L engine is carrying a heavy body. That explains the high FC. However, with the facelift, Suzuki has tweaked the engine. But I haven't test drove the FL APV yet so can't comment much. Spare parts shouldn't be difficult to get as it is a popular ride in Indonesia. The road tax is the same as a 1.6L car, which is around $940. Go test drive and see if U like it.

Aircon is up to the task. parts will be much cheaper vs the euro vans. This vehicle is made in indonesia. Road tax after rebates will be around $750+/- p.a. Do cfm with the SE.

Some facts you need to know about APV.

- It's NOT made in Japan, it's made in Indonesia

- It's not designed by Suzuki alone, it's actually designed in collaboration with Mitsubishi and Suzuki with some indonesia Automobile company based on a Van's chassis.

- It's also sold under a Mitsubishi in Indonesia.

- Unlike other Suzuki Models, it's not even sold in Japan or any part of the world besides ASEAN states

- The 1.6l engine is not the M series unlike the Swift Sport or SX4. It's not even by Suzuki. It's designed from Indonesia based on an old engine block. Dun even have VVT....of course the FC will sucked.

Hopes these enlighten/reaffirm your decisions to get the van/mpv.
