Guide on buying from Used Car Dealer

I saw the thread on "Guide on buying from PI" so I thought it might be good to know about the buying processes and DOs and Don'ts for buying a used car too.

 

Frankly, I've not bought a used car from a second hand car dealer but I'm sure there are still good buys in the used cars market as we all know the first hand owner already stomach the huge chuck of the depreciation in the first few years.

 

For those experienced one, please feel free to share your experience, feedback and to give advice.

just do own research and know the car that you are buying.

check your own financial prowess.

money is in your hands, you decide who you want to give it to.

and i say, dont give it to an ass-hole$@%%$

 

the following is what i do:-

 

1. view the car and decide if it is the right one.

2. do not talk about price until you are ready to buy it.

3. stay firm or be walked all over.

4. always remember, that that is not the only one available. and even if it is, see 3.

If its less than 2 yrs,advise to check wif authorise dealer about the mileage to see car have been tamper with.

Started with a used car, didn't have any problems with it. Test drive it and try to be extra sensitive are there any abnormal sound.

can say most of the used car mileage are being tampered...

 

Mileage if not too high then it is most probably okay.

if there is a full service record,i doubt the dealer dare to take the risk.anyway,most conti cars r harder to tamper with .

i believe that u gotta ask for the history of d car. e.g got accident anot blah blah blah.. scarly gib u total loss car..

ask no use. they all say accident free...........

that because when owner trade in their car, they all say accident free..
