U'll have to check the clearance before installing. I got a active sub under my arse and a amp under the passenger arse. lol

Does your arse tremble when the bass is strong? I am thinking of putting it on my passenger side instead

Don't mind if i ask but wads the diff between a subwoofer and a steelmate??

Steelmate subwoofer are 'active' subwoofer which does not require an external amplifier (some has their own integrated amplifier) and it is usually flat or small enough to put beneath the car seat.

The 'passive' type of subwoofer which most ICER put in the boot usually requires an amplifier to power it and it usually comes with a box enclosure.

Cheers

Sometimes I really wonder how they fare with normal subwoofers with enclosure. These active subs doesn't seems to have enclosure.....coz I think inside the box is all electronics for the amp.

I saw a twister subwoofer selling at $280 incl installation. Not sure whether is this good brand. Heard steelmate doesnt come with an adjuster. How to adjuster the bass while driving?

It will give you some bass but dun expect too much from it. If you really want kick ass bass, have to go for those passive 10" sub.
