So which BS model was it you mentioned in the last paragraph? I though GR80 is already a quiet BS tyre, still got another better model?

Now I am using GR80 but any other BS models should be pretty good grip and long life. Thailand made BS excluded.

My guess is CPC2 could be made in Germany. These companies have factories around in Europe, I have seen Michelins from Italy, France, Germany.

Ya, Stamford tyre quoted me $200 each for 15" size. [sweatdrop] In case you really go for it please share with me which shop offer good price. [;)]

I was quoted a bit over S$500 for my CPC II 2 years ago at Stamford Tyres. They told me got sale and promotion. [laugh]

For reference, the price I got from jewel shop:-

1) Potenza RE050A 260ea

2) Michelin PP2 255ea

3) Goodyear Eagle F1 150ea

4) GR80 210ea

5) CSC2 and CSC3 250ea

6) CPC2 270ea

What will be the Hankook pricing comparing to the above list?

S1 Evo

Neutral Newbie

u might want to check if your cpc2 size has two specs, my size has a H & V rating, the pricing is very far apart

Jewellery shop quoted me for H rating, which was quite tempting as it was slightly more than pp2.

in the end i went for pp2 as it was cheaper, V rating, and love the compromise in dry/wet/noise. notice the thread doesn't wear very fast too, might be able to last slightly longer than usual for me.

this may not be relavent, but cpc1 had horrible wet braking compared to pp2, activating the abs quite often during its 2 yrs of service, in fact, BS AR10 felt more assuring in wet conditions

this is new.. but given the size I wanted, shd be V rating?

but given that H and V's speed rating is 210 and 240.. I don't think it make much of a difference coz i doubt I will hit more than 200km/h that often

S1 Evo

shd be in the range of 250 coz the V12 and V8 quote was about 180 +

but that is my guess..

If bro Sony prices stated is for size 225/45/17, then the S1 Evo price will be around the GR80 pricing. So essentially its only more ex than F1 and a wee bit more ex than GR80 but cheaper than the rest.

This price estimate is very close to RE050A which is used as OE for S55AMG and Ferrari Scuderia.

Thanks...RE050A will be my take. That Jewellery shop price is cheapest in town. If he sells Hankook, then it will be more competitively priced.

eh... i beg to differ... the price opposite the jewellery shop's price also very good. plus their svc is better. i heard alot of horror stories bout the jewellery shop. i fully support the opposite shop instead.

once i called both shop to enquire bout the pricing.. jewellery shop seems not interested to entertain me at all! but the shop opposite is very warm and friendly! in the end the price is the same so of course i choose the one with better svc!
