Xefera 6th Gear January 13, 2009 Share January 13, 2009 Think this is the shape that offers the lowest drag. How will a high hatchback reduce drag? Thot it depends on the design of the bonnet and windscreen?
Emils 2nd Gear January 13, 2009 Share January 13, 2009 How will a high hatchback reduce drag? Thot it depends on the design of the bonnet and windscreen? If I'm not wrong, drag is created in two areas; 1) the shape of the front end, i.e. how efficient is the car in 'slicing' through air and 2) the amount of turbulence created behind the car. For minimal drag, this was apparently the best shape (read it somewhere) though aesthetically, it leaves much to be desired.
