Saw so many times OPC cars driving with no coupons. I know some of you will hate me if I say this, if the police give me statutory power to book them as civilian but I get nothing in return I also SONG! Already benefit from the rebate and road tax still cheat the system. Whenever I witness a TP stop a OPC car I super happy! I accept OPC car but I am beginning to dislike those BENGS who cannot afford car but wanna show off or add to the death roll on the roads by themselves or by endangering others, having OPC WRX! and I am damn sure that is not second car but want to show off but NO $$$$ buy full day Rexs buy an OPC Rexs. I may be bias but when I see an OPC QQ I am inclined to believe this person really need a transport but cannot really afford a better one so OPC option for QQ is really a budget BUDGET car not WRXs! I think OPC initially is out to benefit the RICH who wanted second car but Govt don't want them to congest the roads but being RICH they can afford second car W/O OPC option so that explains why we hardly see an OPC merce or BMW, but LOTS OF WRXs, mob VIOs, Lancer. And chances are these are CHAO AH BENGS! Bro take it easy la. Not all OPC drivers are one of the kind la. Me drive OPC. My office is in CBD and my train stops right below my office. The reason i have OPC is becos I am the afmad during weekends. Even if i hav to drive during restricted hours, I rather spend $20 to be wacked with $10k fine. It is their business and they have to face the music if they are caught, not my business at all. Just tat at times, I would really like to wash my ride during sat morning - afternoon or even when I am on leave during weekdays. I guess this kind of request will not make anybody unhappy afterall I am not gonna cause any road congestion. The Govt will increase the off peak hours over the weekend, But Will ensure OPC is strictly for Off Peak hours use and may double the normal usage fee to let say....$40 If the new electronic system will be too convenient that can encourage OPC users to drive during normal hours, I think they will implement hefty price for normal hours usage. Jeff49er Clutched February 13, 2009 Share February 13, 2009 The report says OPC be made attractive for ppl to convert to OPC then I am sure there must be some carrot like longer hours on Sat. $20 charge for off peak is reasonable so prolly the road tax be up slightly but still lower than the normal road tax.
