Phang79 Neutral Newbie February 15, 2009 Share February 15, 2009 It was the NTUC Union member U-Drive promotion. But now no longer valid with ESSO. ESSO points is given by the amount paid. 1 point for every $1.25 spent Shell is 1 point for every Litre spent. So if you paid $2per litre, if you pump 40 litres bill=$80.00, you get 40 points Assume ESSO at $2per litre, pump 40 litres, bill is $80.00 you'll get 64 points. Shell 700 points for $20.00 petrol redemption ESSO 300 points for $10.00 petrol redemption. Do your maths now. Time to switch. Just to addon, ESSO can redeem $30 using 750 smiles points. Not worth to redeem $10. ↡ Advertisement

Chickenbackside 1st Gear February 15, 2009 Share February 15, 2009 I want to switch from Shell to other petrol, but Shell petrol really gets along with my car. I get > 50km more per tank from Shell, not to mention my car really feels a lot more powerful. SPC is the worst. So at the end of the day, Shell still more worth it. Sigh. Drumstick Clutched February 15, 2009 Share February 15, 2009 Maybe we should organize a group of pple go CASE raise complain.. they see one big gang go complain, sure will do something rite? Unless they really put on show only.. then we LL.. No need to waste time on this. The only way for petrol price to drop is to reduce demands. Which is to say to pump the minimum or dun pump at all. Cut down on travelling in car and try to stretch your FC to the max. With demand / consumption down, price will down..... Anyway, partly to blame is the tax on oil products. Rocky88 Neutral Newbie February 16, 2009 Share February 16, 2009 (edited) We must UNITE.. Oil companies uniting to challenge consumers, consumers can unite to challenge back! No one is protecting the drivers' interest, we have to make a stand instead. They can one coy increase, then all increase..so it means if one person dun use that particular coy, then all dun use lor.. same tactic used by them..seriously, such action also driven by 'market demand'. Actually also no need to do much..as far as I know, my frens all stop shell liao..reason, coz they increase their price again.. so no need to say boycott shell.. just help to emphasize to pple WHO increases the price, anyone who listen to it will feel DISGUSTED enough to stop using them liao.. :) Edited February 16, 2009 by Rocky88 ↡ Advertisement
