Mikeyeo Clutched February 15, 2009 Share February 15, 2009 Hi Sir, Hi We will really appreciate your review and opinions of the new superb and looking forward to your postings soon. It wil be interesting to know from someone that own a passat and compare it against the superb! girls Hi 'Quirky_ster', though I am in my mid 50's, cars have always been my passion since my University days. While still studying, I owned my 1st car which was a Mini Cooper S and driving to Uni. During those days, owning a Mini was an 'in' thing and what more, driving a car to school. Got many Uni girls trying to hook me but got no chance cos I already got a girlfriend (now my wife) whom I knew during our 'A' level. What a waste! (joking only). Also no chance to know these girls as my girlfriend was also in the same Uni but 2 1/2 years ahead of me cos of my NS. Though we studied different courses, die die had to find time with her to prevent other male from trying to 'potong jalan' and tried to hook her. Always made sure to sent her home after her lessons and go out together. Anyone who do not know me thought that I am in my early 40's because of my outlook which I feel is a compliment. Whenever I go out with my 26-years old son (he's almost 1.8m tall) and 21-years daughter, everyone were surprised that my children are so grown up. Though I am considered old but when cars are concern, I am always young at heart. I am looking forward to the day when both my children are married and living on their own. Then I can own either a 2nd-hand Ferrari F430 or a new Porsche (both 2-seaters) so that my wife and I can sit back and have a lifestyle toy car to zoom around. Lastly, I will post my review base on my personal opinion after the test driven the new Superb and I have to clarify that my expectation of a car performance is very high. ↡ Advertisement
Quirky_ster Clutched February 16, 2009 Share February 16, 2009 Great! And what a great plan for your future car... Since I am much younger than you.. you can put my name in the list to take over the F430 when you are done driving it.... I can perhaps offer paper value.. :) We shall see how it goes.. I think most of us would like to see if the Superb is worth the $$ save from the Passat. As for performance, in your perspective, everything else is a compromise, it's only by how much! Cheers!
