Redcoloured 1st Gear March 16, 2009 Share March 16, 2009 yeah.. me too.. i gave up listening to morning express on class 95 also. now i switch to 88.3 most of the time. i still miss the time when Vernon A and Justin Ang hosted "MUTTONS in the morning". They are so farni and lively. i always sytart my morning with a laugh listening to them. But the topics they shared sometimes are a bit not children friendly la... Torquey Neutral Newbie March 17, 2009 Share March 17, 2009 the last time i 'tuned in' wholeheartedly was when Joe Augustine and Petrina hosted the morning show on 91.3 but ever since they got fired, there hasnt been any show quite close to that. it wasnt the same even after Joe teamed up with Shareen on power98 for the morning show, but thts history too. maybe they should have another station with a morning show that plays music only and traffic updates Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Friendstar Supercharged March 17, 2009 Share March 17, 2009 I think a lot of us listen to the radio and might share my opinion that we have to put up with quite a few mediocre radio DJs. But I wonder who is with me on this. This class95 DJ has been a radio personality for quite a many years now but it's shocking how appalling she is at her job. Her shows are stale and it was especially bad when she was the host during lunch-time. Her lacking of a radio personality, a character shows up very obviously then. Maybe her bosses recognise her shortfall and had her team up with the morning guys, both to add a female perspective and perhaps to inject some life into her tepid repertoire. But shockingly, she seems to have pulled the two guys down with her. Her jokes are flat, and she seem only intent to add some sound effect or mimick some accent, which more often than not is rather irritating. And obviously she has problems catching up with the two guys' routine and ends up being like an unwanted third party in a two-person conversation, breaking their flow in the process. Granted, she is new to them and need time to gel. But signs so far are not encouraging. I don't know about you guys but her show makes me crinch at times. So much so I have already stopped tuning in. Cracker 1st Gear March 17, 2009 Share March 17, 2009 I only listen to BBC & 938 on weekdays morning drive...and radio station surfing in the evening. I find tat the local radio DJ are trying too hard to be "funny"... There was this station where the hosts ( I think 3 of them) would take turn calling up pple randomly and stayed silent when the other party answered the call. The game was to see who can last the longest before the other party hung up his/her phone. Others will try to give lame jokes..usually with sexual content. I think the subaru's Ah Seng's advertisement is a good reflection of the current local radio station..initially funny but get tired and boring after awhile.
