Turbocharged

somehow it just not the same as top gear uk.

the TG UK team has set the standard so high that even the TG down under is behind them..but they're still quite good as a team.. [thumbsup]

Neutral Newbie

UK has the C'eed and it is highly regarded by the Brits. Trust me, they will not swap the C'eed with the Forte.

you mean those buggers have already started using C'eed for the SIARPC segment? [confused]

Agree. FG's format and the way it was presented would have been great years ago...but TG has moved the mark. I feel FG would do better if they set their own 'standard' instead of trying to add a bit of TG's element into their plan.

I love the episode 8 of season 12, when the trio went on a 8 days tour from South (Saigon) to North (Ha Long City) part of Vietnam on motorcycles.

James on a Honda 50cc Super Cub, Richard on a Russian Minsk 125cc & JC on a Vespa.

It was really lots of fun for them on the road, especially JC as he doesn't really knows how to ride a motorcycle :D:D:D

ps, it's still available on PPStream [rolleyes][rolleyes][rolleyes]

Yes i couldnt stop laughing at the pathetic attempts of jeremy riding, and their efforts at sabo-ing one another in vietnam...their chemistry at having fun & digging at one another is really infectious [laugh]

awesome episode. i loved the part where they tailored outrageous suits for themselves and jeremy presented hammond with the display suit on a midget figurine saying, "sir, your suit is ready"

also when they paddled around ha long bay on their modified raft-bikes

many Apocalypse Now and other vietnam war movies references abound

there was an episode i watched where the UK team went to the USA on a road trip to test 3 American muscle cars at the bonneville salt flats.

James in the CTS-V *my favourite*, JC in Corvette ZR1 *drool*, and poor old richard hammond in his four speed Dodge Challenger because he felt like a traditional american hero driving it [laugh][laugh]

constant quips about the US department of state who wrote to them ordering them to be "factual" in their journalism [laugh][laugh]

They really made Vietnam a beautiful place. The cinematography was excellent.
