Has been listening to news about the AWARE saga recently.

 

The women-folks are supposed to unite together and help one another.

Very unfortunately, we find the leaders in their association fighting against one another.

 

It was even reported that the new exco committe threw the old guards out and even changed the locks to prevent the old guards from going into their offices.

 

They have obviously forgotten the motto. Very ironical, isn't it?

hmmm..anyone kind enough to summarise the whole saga up til now? what happened from the beginning to now?

 

I mean, if the new exco are democratically elected to organised electioneering, shouldn't the old guard respect the choices of the members? rather than kpkb-ing? the new faces won it fair and square what..seems kinda childish to me..

summary:

 

AWARE held elections,

a bunch of new faces were elected by a whole batch of new faces,

outgoing leaders threw hissy fit,

screaming it's not right even though elections were fair and legal,

Straits Times front page + many pages scream new leaders are Christian & anti-gay,

new birds claim old birds are turning AWARE into pro-gay org,

remaining old leaders and staff are un-cooperative,

new leaders are defensive,

fires whoever doesn't follow orders,

says too many keys floating around, so locks changed,

says death threats and poison letters to employers received,

next up is another AGM to fight it out.

Most women, no matter how highly educated, do things emotionally.

 

Looks like a joke drama.

 

they should be like men..

I read from the newspaper that the new exco members were from the same church.

How could the old guards accept such defeat?

The upcoming EXCO meeting will be exciting. All the homosexual people (I assume most of the pro-homosexual are homosexuals) are joining to overthrow the new committee. If the new committee is overthrown, whoever is in charge will be forced to advance the lesbian agenda since they would have been voted in by gay power.
