After serving my car yesterday and when I started it early this morning, can hear the screeching sound of the belt. Open up the bonnet to check but do not know which one is screaming. And when I drive on.. the sound disappeared. It happen again if I rest the car for few hrs and start again. In this case what will you do ?

Any advise will be appreciated................

Probably the belt pulley drive needs to be changed if you haven't change before. I got this experience thru my colleague's car. Hope this helps!

Tooth timing belt if not properly tensioned can " jump " one tooth or more at high speed causing misfiring and slight jerk.Improperly align timing belt will cause engine vibrations, create noise and premature failure.

If a toothed belt jumps, its time to get it fixed cos u wil know when u drive already. [sweatdrop]
