I know of people who drive with the OD off permernemtly- than agin , they do not care abt FC.

8 km/l is not surprising for a HRF wo OD

 

OD is on. He asked me about it and he also put gear to neutral when stopping. thimk his is one off.

Its not advisable to put gear to neutral when stopping. Frequent changes from 'D' to 'N' and vice versa may prematurely damage the transmission. May cause FC to increase too.

Hi r u sure if frequenly change the auto gear from D to N while stop at traffic light will easily damage the gearbox? Cause i do this when i meet the traffic jam or during at custom to M'sia

If u r comparing forte, advante, vios and impreza, pls go for the ones that are from and made from the original country....u will never go wrong.

all these are ok cars, you will not go wrong with the vios and impreza either. but they are more expensive.

yeah.. used to drive an impreza ts... had no big issues for the 4 years i owned the car.. in fact the steering and drive were rather nice and stable.. the onli complaints i had were the relatively low power and high fuel consumption..

 

anyway back to the topic.. both forte and avante are nice and value for money cars.. as MIK cars begin to improve in their build quality and engines.. guess u cannot go wrong with these bread and butter cars..
