Neutral Newbie

Just bought a second hand 2.5 year 1.5L Sylphy. I choose Sylphy because it is the best 1.5 car in the market in term of build, quality and comfort.

At the moment can't comment much, but felt the air con is a little bit noisy, changed the air con belt but noise is still there, especially at the red traffic light when I change my gear to N.

Fuel consumption seems to be quite high, maybe the odometer is very accurate, I can see the odometer dropping daily on my ride to/back office. Unlike my sister's Altis, the odometer hardly drop when it was full tank, but once start dropping will keep drop very fast.

why u change to N when stopped at traffic light ? i always thought it's better to leave it at D.

And the meter reads 8.6L/100km

Running on stock.

At first I still try my best to control the FC.. but in the end give up.. and just enjoy my driving [:p]

Impressive... I am a gentle drive but can only reach 10km/l. Can you share us more information on how you achieve that? type of engine oil used, which patrol/fuel used, did you added any additional enhancement to your engine oil or fuel?

I got my Sylphy 2.0 aweek ago. Fill up with RM 83 of fuel and got a mileage og 600km till 1st fuel limit warning light. As for me a the consumption of 13.8sen/km great for a 2.0 family sedan.

It's value for money plus the driving is comfortable, spacious.

cool, so it's best for a family car then?

Yes it is. Am driving the new Nissan Sylphy 2010.

Interior is beautiful and comfort is the best among its class and has a touch of luxury. [inlove]

It is so large and spacious that it can fit 2 big 4XL-ers sized adult men, 1.8m tall in the rear cabin without compromising the legroom and headspace ; even with both of the front seats is adjusted to the back to the maximum, there are still plenty of legroom and headspace. [thumbsup]

The only slight downside of this car would be its engine performance as sometimes you can feel the car's weight especially on high slopes with full load as well as its pick up speed which relatively do not pose as an issue to me. It's rather fun to have some "feel" or "drag" of the car's weight when climbing up that slope. =) But hey, the car's engine still performs as expected when you floor the accelerator. Please do think before you speed. It's a risk that will involve the lives of your loved ones and other road users. Singapore road is not meant for speeding, it is more catered to go from point A to point B. Having said that, a normal but a good engine will certainly suits for me.

To top it off, the Sylphy's engine is so quiet that when you drive, you can't hear the change of gears. My passengers love every minute of the ride. Old folks, babies would comfortably sleep during long journeys. All these thanks to the superb soundproofing and the quietness of its engine.

Another plus point is the internal air is kept fresh even in heavy traffic, because of Sylphy
